Also never use tattoos that don't give you an even trade. +1/-1 is better than +1/-2, as the latter will cause your total stats to be less than 170, which is not good. Not all classes can apply every type of tattoo.
All classes can use tattoos to change STR Lineage 2 Adena, DEX, and CON. Fighter classes cannot change their MEN with tattoos. Healers/buffers cannot change their INT with tattoos. Note that any class can change any stat through armor set bonuses. Each character can only have three tattoos applied at one time; they go in the boxes on the right of your character info screen when applied. Once you Lineage 2 Adena have applied a tattoo, it is permanent unless you decide to remove it at a symbol maker NPC.
When you remove a tattoo, you only get 5 of the 10 dyes you needed to make it, so it's really not a good idea to switch tattoos back and forth. Note that when you subclass, your sub does not have the same tattoos as your main; your sub will start out with no tattoos applied. The most you can change any stat with tattoos positively is +5, there is no limit on how much you can change a stat negatively. This means that if you apply two tattoos of +4STR/-4DEX, the end result will be +5STR and ?8DEX.
Finding Dyes
Dyes for different tattoos can be found in many places in lineage2. You may spoil Lineage 2 Adena them from mobs, get them from drops, raids, common craft, or trade ancient adena for them at the merchant of mammon.
Note that you CANNOT buy greater dyes from a merchant in town, as they only sell regular dyes. if buying from the merchant of mammon (he visits the necropolis during the seal validation period) the +4/-4 dyes cost 174000aa, the +3/-3 dyes are 108000aa, the +2/-2 dyes are 72000aa and the +1/-1 dyes are 60000aa.
This means that if you want to go +5/-5, the cheapest way to do it is to get a +3/-3 and a +2/-2 tattoo, as this will save you 54000aa over a +4/-4 and a +1/-1. Because not much is known yet about the spoils for C5, the following is an incomplete list of known spoils, I will update it at some point when more is known about C5. If you get any info on this please pm me on the official boards at KingdomForCoin.
Warlord
As a melee that specializes in AOE PvE, you typically want to be running around with a single buffer at low levels, and at higher levels, a couple more AOE-capable classes (destroyer, dwarf, or nuker) and at least two buffers/healers, preferably not of the same type. There isn't really a solo build for this type of Lineage 2 Adena class, and it doesn't do great in PvP.
